Open Access Statement

Open Access Statement & Licensing Policy

All publications of the Athens Institute, including the e-journals, are fully open access. All content is freely available online to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to, without registration, subscription, embargo periods, or any fees (submission fees, processing fees, publication fees, or open access charges). The journals operate independently of the presentations delivered at the various academic events (conferences, symposiums, forums, colloquiums, courses, roundtable discussions) organized by the Athens Institute throughout the year.

The Athens Institute does not require authors to transfer copyright. Authors retain full intellectual property rights to their published work. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, authors grant the Athens Institute a non-exclusive copyright to produce the final paper in the journal’s format, while still retaining full ownership. Authors are allowed to post the final accepted version of their manuscript (postprint) in repositories or on personal websites, provided the article is properly cited and not concurrently submitted to another journal. Each published article is assigned a persistent DOI, which provides a permanent and reliable link to the final version of the paper.
